A few proven ways to stop losing at poker

You’ve probably all been in a situation when you’re playing your next poker session, making every possible and impossible effort to show your best game, and the green line in the tracker is inexorably rolling down. Opponents are closing everything: flushes, trips, gatshots on the river, etc. And you can’t win a single hand. The situation seems hopeless, and you are sick of these constant losses and poker in general!

We are sure that they will help you to stop losing at least! And this is already a lot, you must agree.

1. Fall against raises on turn and river

The first way to stop pouring in poker will require you to have a little faith. And it may sound crazy at first, but you need to fold more!

If you have one pair in your hand and you get a raiser from your opponent on turn or river, you need to fold.

At low limits, where there are a lot of passive players, a late street raiser will more often than not mean a really powerful hand.

Everyone loves pocket aces and kings. But you have to realize that it’s just one pair. Successful poker players know when to fold an overpair.

Trust us, 9 out of 10 times at low limits, if you get raked on turn or river, it’s because they actually have a hand! Just grit your teeth and hit fold!

2. Remove the word “slo-play” from your vocabulary

Following this advice will also be very difficult for many of you. Often on TV we see our idols making elegant slo-plays and forcing their opponents to make big mistakes and pay up. But you have to remember that this is high-stakes poker. World-class players are playing against world-class players here, and so slo-play will often work here.

This is one of the main reasons why people lose at poker. At low limits, you have to build big pots yourself with your strong hands and almost never slo-play. So the next time you are dealt pocket aces, for example, rake and re-raise. In general, play your hands as simply and straightforwardly as possible! This is how to win to the max with strong hands like AA. Bad and average players will never punish you for this.

3. “Either the phish is at the table or I don’t play!”

The next tip we’re going to give you can rightfully be considered the most effective winning strategy in modern poker!

You should always have at least one fat chip at the table. If within 5-10 hands you could not find one, then simply leave the table and find a new one. Simple as that!

The reason why this is so important is because phish are the source of money in poker. To prove my point, just watch the following video of one loser maniac!

If you don’t have one of these customers at your table, you just shut it down. I can 100% guarantee you that by following this advice, you will stop losing at poker.
